The Practice was established in London by Michael Porter in 1984 as M Porter & Associates and has since grown steadily, gaining extensive experience in the cost management of projects in the new build, refurbishment and fit-out fields. In 1989 an office was opened in Yorkshire to provide a base to service the north of England, and in 2000 the Practice became MPA (Construction Consultants) Ltd, trading and known simply as MPA.
The Practice has gained a reputation for providing effective and proactive construction consultancy advice. The services offered range from traditional quantity surveying through to specialist services including project management and contract administration, and we have also been retained by a number of funding institutions, insolvency practitioners and insurers to provide monitoring and bespoke consultancy services on a wide variety of projects.
